Feuerschwanz have played their way to the top of German medieval folk metal rock and into the hearts of many through tireless hard work, ten studio albums, three live albums and countless live shows, and at the same time let us look forward to an exciting, promising future full of anticipation. After first placing in the German charts with their album “Wunsch ist Wunsch” in 2011, the band's meteoric rise took “Sex is Muss” into the Top 10 for the first time in 2016. After moving to the Austrian label Napalm Records in 2020, the first album released under that banner that same year, “Das Elfte Gebot”, went straight to #3 and stayed in the charts for eight weeks. The follow-up record to 2021’s success album “Memento Mori” (#1 German album charts) was released in the summer of 2023 and is fittingly titled “Fegefeuer”, because the album is full on metal, and is following the band’s path away from the good old fun rock days.
